Science in School

Children at our school have the opportunity to explore a range of science concepts through enquiry based learning and practical, hands-on experiences. Children investigate, solve problems and ask questions. We strongly encourage enthusiasm and curiosity in order for children to make better sense of the world we live in. There are a number of educational visits and visitors planned every year to enrich our science curriculum.

Zoolab Visit to Year 1 and 2

Children enjoyed the fascinating experience of holding, touching, observing and learning new facts about animals from around the world.

Hatching Chicks Project

All year groups had the opportunity to visit our hatching chicks and to learn about the early life cycle.

Fly to the Line - STEM competition

The children have worked hard to design, make and modify their team glider and our class finalists are now preparing to compete against other schools! There was a huge ‘buzz’ on the playground when both year groups got together to test their gliders.
