School Council

In Key Stage Two, each year group nominates two children to represent them on the School Council.

The Council meets every week to discuss issues, upcoming events and fund raising ideas. The representatives ask each class across the school whether they have any issues or whether they have any changes they would like to make around the school. The representatives also keep the classes informed of any changes.

Children may speak to the councillors to suggest ideas or ask questions that can be dealt with at the meetings. They may also complete a ‘Question, Comment or Suggestion’ form and submit it by putting it into School Council envelope in each classroom. These are collected and taken to each meeting.

The School Council has organised Red Nose days, Comic Relief events and Sports Relief charity days.
